Wood Pile Abstract
Photographers Comments
WELL,....what do you think?....is this a mess? I was trimming away on the Forsythia bush (long overdue)which is butted right up against the neighbors wood pile. Saw this, last years leaf, swinging by its neck on the chicken wire, so I shot it.

Good lighting, nicely exposed, well taken with some good detail in the leaf and nice dof. Not sure it would hold my interest long though. But the more I look the more I like it and I understand perfectly why you took this shot because I would have too. It's like the last leaf of autumn clinging on and not wanting to leave (forgive the unintended pun)

Triangles are very strong in images as they lead your eyes around the image.
It is simple, however nowt wrong with that is there! I like it Fay, nice simple but effective image.

I'm really impressed with Denny's triangle comment .....so much so I've lost my train of thought........
I do like it for it's simplicity and the way the different textures work with each other. is that a remnant of a insect wing on the chicken wire (RHS) ?

Thank you Maureen, Dennis and Diane for your imputs. Is rather a different type of composition, so it doesn't look there is anything glaringly terrible. Was wondering if it was too busy; guess the tones help to keep it tame. You are too sharp Diane; that's where I tried to get rid of a weed (a good reminder for me to pay attention to details

Hi Fay .. I have sat here and looking at this photo .. for awhile .. I am wondering what it would look like .. it you made it so the wire running across the photo was straight?? .. I love all the different tones of browns and the different textures that you have captured. Thanks for sharing .
Cheers
Else

Hi Else...thanks for the tip-off. Now, you got me curious...may go back tomorrow, just to do a test; doing it straight on may bring a semblance of order.
