Photographers Comments
I sort of cheated on this one it was supposed to be colour but being the page of a book it looked pretty much B&W....so i duotoned it with pantone red.

Hi Mate, nice shot, unsure about the colour but like the way you have picked out a (not modern) definition of Photography. Not only chemical actions on film anymore is it!!

Great shot Stevie Boy..the colour is heavy but only because i feel the image is a touch dark..duotone works nicely, must let me know how you did that...

Start with a greyscale image!!! (B&W Option on CS3 won't work).
Then go to Image>Mode>duotone, then chose duotone from the boxes pop up menu, you will see ink 1 which is black click on ink 2 and chose whichever colour you want to be the duotone...

Then click on the box with a diagonal though it next to ink 2 and this will give you a curve which controls the amount of ink (colour you've chosen) that is added to the black to create your duotone....the pop up box also lets you do up to three colours plus black but i must say from playing it all gets a bit muddy!!!! the best results seem to come from just 2 (duotone)....

Give us a shout if you come unstuck mate.....
