it may be my monitor but i dont find the yellowy-green very flattering. like the crop, how does it look in black & white?

Hi Genese, I really like the shot itself, excellent composition, love the light it has been taken in and DOF. Sorry B&W does not do it for me it loses something.

I really like the colour image but as Lisa says the slight Yellowy-Green colour lets it down somewhat. Have you thought about perhaps changing the colour?

Yep have to agree the colour version is the best.
I love the DOF and the light on the centre stamens really give a soft feel to the flower..i like the yellow/green colour.

I have to say that I find the colour image quite pleasant genese, with it's nice soft muted colours. Just can't understand all of these people who want to go B&W all the time. It's got me!

Not too sure myself ... dont mind b&w for some of the moody shots it can work well and quite like it for some portraits! i guess somethings work better in colour and some dont
