Hi Else......I love holly and I don't think I've seen the real thing for many a year.I did try to plant one here a few years ago but as soon as the hot weather came along it died....not suitable for our climate I suppose.
The berries are nice and bright red, the leaves are slightly verigated as well as sharp! Both are in great focus and you have done well with the DOF too.

so pretty...hope you got bit by the macro bug!!...I actually started out yesterday to take pictures of red berries but only got as far as taking a picture of a puddle.
Nice focus..rich in color..the light really makes one to want to reach out and see if those berries are really that smooth.

Hi Diane and Fay .. Thank you for the comments and visit. I love holly .. this tree belongs to someone and wasn't going to take a few snippets of it at Christmas .. but would have loved to ... I find that when u are stuck in the house .. can always find something to shoot in macro .. lol .. and I have to use a tripod .. Yes . Diane must be a fast typer .. lol ..
