Wow Martin, how cool is this? !!....and so clear it's like looking at it under a microscope...the hairs on the antennae are amazing!

Well done Martin. Is it the cranefly that is meant to be really poisonous? but its weak mouth parts cannot pierce human skin? Or did I dream it. I'm off to google this one. Great shot mate.
Nope the venom thing is apparently a myth! thank heavens for that!

Thanks for the positive comments. I liked the uncluttered background and went for the close crop as getting all the legs in leaves the body too small to see the detail.
