Default 365 19/02/09 Hellebore from the garden

Photographers Comments
Picked from our garden this afternoon. Placed it in a small vase of water, and placed it on top of kitchen worktop. Off-camera flash with diffuser used for side lighting. Shot ten manually focused shots and stacked them in Helicon for complete DOF.

Double WOW.....no worth a triple, make my effort look duff! (did different stacking today!) Lovely detail and i know the patience it takes when stacking. Top notch for me.

Thanks Dennis. I must admit I thought the light was pretty good. This off-camera flash business is great. I took 10 exposures (all on flash) and they all came out the same exposure before I stacked them.

This is really cool as it looks massive like a satellite dish due to the lack of out of focus areas, until you realise it is a flower.
This is how all macro shots should look in an ideal photography world ;-)

This was my 'second' shot today. I preferred the Hellebore. Both flowers were picked from the garden. Cheer up, chaps, spring is here!
