i love the image mate and the rich colour beats B&W for me, one thing i would have loved to see them lit, the flame would have added it for me but you would have had to be quick before any melting started, dont tell me the missus would have killed you if you did light them

Agree with you on this - to be lit would have been great and yes I would be Stone Dead... LOL
I really do prefer the original colour version too, just did the mono for comparison

Morning to all
John and Zoe, take a look at [ this post] for a crude light box which cost me nothing to make - can't take the credit for it becuase I scoured the interwebby for information and came up with this set up.
Just make sure it a decent enough box and make sure the windows on the side are pretty big - I made the mistake of making the too small! LOL Also, rather than using paper try something like baking parchment or something similar; it will help get the light through easier.
When or if you can, try setting the box in a brightly lit area, like Lisa uses her conservatory, or set the box on a table in the garden on a sunny day.
The lights I used were standard 20w halogen desk lamps, not very powerful, but they work in a way. Set your White Balance to Fluorescent or similar otherwise you will get a yellow cast over the image.
As for light tent setup - see images below.
I am by no means an expert at this, just explaining how I did things and Hope this is of some help!
