Glad you've taken the RAW plunge, Dave - thats a cracking image. Only thing I would do to tweak it a little is add a little contrast - mind you this could be my monitor so don't mean to offend.

Hi Dave, just came across this and had to comment. This is a great capture, I love the colours and the way the bokeh of the background set it off so well. Agree with Mark re the contrast, it can also take a bit of selective sharpening. I did a quick edit more for my own curiosity - hope you don't mind. Well done, and using RAW for a shot like this pays dividends!

Good on you for shooting in RAW - you'll wonder why you ever shot in Jpegs!

Really nice capture and love the colours. Wish we had the variety of butterflies and moths that you get down south!

Dave, nice one upside of raw total control over settings, downside more imaging editing, and sharpening etc required but you do get better images.

Been having a go at butterflies, but the little rotters won't sit still lol
