Marias Tree B&W
Photographers Comments
My father suggested i tried a B&W version on this photo, and suggested a few ideas
Hes been an amateur tog for 20 years, used to do slides but now is digital, he enters international print photo competitions so is a bit more advanced than me LOL, he specialises in mono.
Best seen on black, good idea paul!!

very good work, rule of thirds applied, the dramatic sky makes the image, foreground interest in form of the flattened down grass.. and the path makes a great lead in line, lovely and sharp and well exposed! not sure you could do anything to improve on perfection.. maybe i would have got a axe and hacked down the trees behind the lone tree haha

Now this is spectacular! The lead in is brilliant and the whole scene has a really dramatic 'storm-about-to-happen' feel to it. 10/10 from me mate. Be proud of it - i would be!

Hi Dave. I have to say I like this one a lot better. I had to go back and look at the original again as I didn’t notice the flattened grass at first. I love the dramatic feel it gave the sky. Art

This is one smooth picture. The composition could not be better, rule of thirds, foreground flat grass, pattern in sky matches. Nice feeling of isolation and mood. Five 'smooth points'! Some thought has gone into this.
