On flicker there are quite a few groups on Marias Tree not sure whether thats the real name or a flickr name, any way I realised it is only down the road from me so got the chance today to pop along

Hmmm. So i wonder who Maria is? Beautiful shot though. Have you tried cloning out the trees in the background to see what its like? The sky is marvelous and you have captured a skip load of detail too. Nice one!

When i grow up, i want someone to name a tree after me too...

Fantastic sky and great detail in the foreground. Vibrant colour in the wheat field. Very good capture. Maria would be pleased

Hi Dave, I like this image but thought that there was too much on the left not doing a lot, so I thought that a portrait might work with this image. (as you say 'Yes' to edit my photos).

no problem with the edit pal, i kinda like the fact there is loads of background, it makes the tree feel 'alone' if you get my meaning.

Hi Dave I like the retouched shot with the tree on it's own; I agree with you that it looks more isolated in your version.Great sky plenty of detail right across the image well captured.
