THanks Maureen- regarding the focus- I agree. the scenario was: me flat out on the ground on a hot day- me not comfortable at all ( I am far too old to be laying on the ground trying to track a grasshopper. Lucky I could even get to my feet!!!!!) The grasshopper was very well camouflaged as it was a light colored one against some sort of dead grass- not easy to find. The camera was having a moment of rebellion and not auto focusing. Trying to focus manually while staying still enough to not spook the grasshopper- hmmmmm all adds up to sort of a lost cause. Oh well- such is life- may have better luck next time. Mary
