Had a fun filled day at a local Bird of Prey centre. Happily snapped away and caught this just at the right time.

Hi Lorraine, this is a great shot, nice and sharp with great colour.
You did well to capture this, well done. I would remove the dark bit sticking out on the bottom left as I find it a bit distracting, but that just me. All the best Paul

Looks like a shadow of the beak to me, nice capture lorraine, love these birds

Nothing to do with the image really but it looks like you have a dust spot on either your lens or your sensor-just left of beak. may be worth checking if its on other images taken that day or a one off

Thank you guys for the comments and taking a look. I've got to remember to look properly for those dust spots!!! The bit sticking out I think is a feather (looking at the original) which I've had a try at removing, but ended up making a bit of a hash job, went back to leaving it in.

Nice capture. Animated little fellow, aint he?!
