Hi Richard, This has worked well in monochrome, to be honest the grass in the foreground does not bother me, in fact I think it helps the image, I like your stormy sky. The only thing I think that I would have done, was to move slightly to the left so that you could isolate that bigger tree from the one behind, anyway we will look forward to seeing more from you.

It has indeed worked well in mono. But I would love to have seen a subdued colour version of this. All the ingredients are there mate. Something with ultra low colour saturation and a bit of tonal contrast would blow my socks out of the window.
Nice perspective and wonderfully composed. |
