Hi Pete, looks heavily cropped looking at the shape, however it is so difficult to a) catch a bird in shot b) get it anywhere in focus c) get them to give you a decent background You did well a) and b) but he didnt give you c)! but good shot, been trying to capture herons in flight locally for weeks and so far no joy so i know how hard this was.
