One of my fav creatures, this little fellow was so tame that I got to stoke his chest after the photo shoot...

Pete, it works for me mate, the depth of field makes you look him in the eye and draws you to the detail. Cant believe how soft they are when you stroke them they are all air!

An amazing shot. So sharp and such great detail. I'm a little put off by the strange angle just because I can almost see the other eye and I want to move round so I can see it. Still a very good shot though

Fantastic shot, the fine detail in the feathers around the eye is great.
For serious crit, I'm looking for something here, minor point, I'd like to see the tip of his beak, maybe you have it in the original.
Exposure colour and detail wise, just great.

I would have liked to have seen maybe a little more depth. Maybe that would have made the feathers above the eye sharp. If you had backed off a little maybe it would have given more DOF and also shown the beak as some have suggested. Other than that I think this is a good photo.
