Default Gorse Bloom

Photographers Comments
Out for a walk this afternoon and came across some nice colours and shapes. The gorse are in bloom so more flowers - must be getting old!

Thanks Maureen, there was a red and yellow bush right next to this one so I took some shots of that too - just posted that too.

I like this one much better than the other one that you uploaded. In the other one, it was the color that brought me in but found it just too hard on the eyes. This one is great, easy for the eyes. I like how it's composed;it leaves room for the eye to leisurely roam but it always comes back to the subject. nice curve of the green branch, breaking up the splashes of yellow...I love yellow

I prefer this one of your two gorse shots Peter. I like the shape of the stem and those two blooms with the sprinkling of water hit the mark well for me. Somehow the background does not swallow up the main subject here although they are both very similar in colour. Good, bright colour, nicely exposed ... a feast for the eye

Many thanks Faye and Dave. At the time of taking and uploading I was preferring the red version as the colour was quite striking, but have come round to agreeing with you as I have viewed them.

Hi Else, thanks for the comment. I'm no expert by any means - this may be broom here for all I know!

Glad you used the rest of the bush as a backdrop, this is nicely out of focus and the colour in the bokeh really enhances the main subject.
Water drops work very well and the image is a joy to look at mate
