Default Iris revised

Photographers Comments
Thanks to you all who have made such helpful suggestions: this is the result of a crop and layer which shades the lower right corner to vary the lighting.

Please make sure the comments you leave are indeed constructive and aim to help the photographer see the image from a different perspective and/or provide help and guidance to how the image can be improved.

Failure - a print at A5 showed it lacked detail, too great a crop (from a12+ MP compact). Thanks everyone for trying, but a dead parrot.

V. good to hear from you both - oddly, tho' the print is rubbish as a flower pic. it has a certain abstract/expressionist power. I may re-shoot an iris,(if we get some sun before they go over) but this image is about light and aspiration or something, not sure what - but it works on its own terms - now I've taken the good advice offered. For which very grateful.(And to L for introducing me to what has proved a very supportive and helpful site - the gangs of girlie sycophants - not mine of course! - on Flickr were beginning to nauseate.
