Blue, Green and Yellow
Photographers Comments
Took this shot just over a week ago on my way home from work, I think that was our summer. This field has now turned green so I must have taken it just at its peak. I thought that it would make a nice simple image.

It is indeed a very nice simple picture but if I dare say it a little over saturated for me.

Hi Bryan, you could be right there as this was taken on my compact camera and have just taken it through photoshop to remove some birds that where flying through which I did not notched at the time, whilst in PS I did play with the levels and saturation which as you say I may have taken a bit too far. I welcome any advise like this.

You could try leaving the blue as it is and just lower the green and yellow.

Perfect use of the "rule of thirds" Barry, it really makes for a good composition. I also like the simplicity of the shot. I don't think it's oversaturated at all, infact it is a really good representation of the colour of Canola flowers.....(I have painted enough landscapes of Canola fields to know that) LOL

Reminds me of the velvia days mate. Its rich but not overpowering for me.
It really leaps out at you.
Composition is a pleaser. Another nice one to add to your gallery.
I know there was a spell when I would not shut up about panoramics but this would be a prime candidate.

Glad that you liked it, I think having the sun shining made all the difference, plus not having any land in the background helped this image as well.

Well with it being so simple, I thought that I had better stick to the thirds thing, else you lot would be getting at me
