Hi Trevor.
Well mate, progress you are certainly making sir.
Because of the way the eye is positioned in the head of a bird of prey it is unusual to see a pure profile image. I usually see them with a very slight tilt toward the cam; enough to bring in the eye as the main point of focus.
Having said that I am liking this for other reasons buddy. Birds of prey have such smart and amazing plumage. They always seem to give a impression of speed even when sat still!
So...subject matter is a good one. It would look nice as part of a series of shots of the same bird. The depth of field is excellent. background nicely out of focus and of a suitable colour (you lucky sod!!  ).
Colour overall may benefit from a slight lift in p/shop and maybe a tickle of sharpening. But its a good image bud. Nice and close and a handsome fella.

I love this shot all been said by TCO critique wise, especially the background how many times is the shot good and the background spoils it a tad.
