ooh...it looks very similar to a wild plant that grows every where here. Later and surprisingly, it grows into a huge puff ball, which is one of my favorite things to take pictures of. I have a picture very similar to this but yours looks much better..like how the flower stands out from the background.

...here is after it has gone to seed....I have so many variations of this, that you would hardly recognize it as the same plant...depending on the light and angle

Nice capture Bev ... really stands out from the background and because of the 'star' shape of the flower and it's pointy petals the central composition & square(ish) format are spot on IMHO

It has so much impact for me because it is so clean and uncluttered. The colours are so well suited and you are drawn immediately to the subject which is so crisp I could almost touch it.
