I have never had success with these twitchy creatures and suffer from the *out of focus* too. Perhaps it is the never ending movement ... I hope a Birdie enthusiast will put You right

Hi Paul,
I cant see anything major going wrong with your settings looking at the exif details, but you dont state whether you are hand holding or using a tripod/monopod, what time of day was this taken and what was the light conditions? this will all help with advice for the focusing problem.

Hello Bev,
Thanks for stopping to take a look and commenting, very much appreciated.
I was hand holding the camera and it was about 4pm, lighting was pretty good
All the best
Paul

If you look at the image the focus point is in fact on the fence below the robins feet, but i dont think this is mainly a focus problem, re viewing the image it looks quite noisy, and this can come from the resizing, i know framing images, especially cropped images, and then resizing can cause this problem, or does the original sized image look like this before downloading?
If it does then i woud try what a suggested on your flower image thread.
Good Luck Paul.
