Default a sly glance

Photographers Comments
This little bandit hid behind a big stump , when she spotted me sneaking through the bushes . I advanced a little closer , hid behind a tree and made a few goofy noises ..... her curiosity got the best of her and she peeked out from behind the stump . I got this shot just before she pin pointed where the sounds were coming from .

I resized this image using save for web and lost the exif data , sorry ... if anybody wants it I can post it.

Hi Diane! Thanks for your wonderful comments!

This little gal is a fox . She is a grey phase of the red fox . They are very small , weighing about 12 to 15 lbs . I have a den on my property where three little foxes spent the winter . Their parents moved on ... Each one is a different color . She has a little brother that is of the true red fox coloring and a sister that is of the cross fox phase ( a sort of red brindle with a black cross over the shoulders and back) . This one is the only one with the little black mask and it really suits her personality . I've seen her steal things for the other two quite a few times .

Thanks Fay!.....LOL, I was trying to make bird calls , but it was a pretty sad attempt , I can't whistle , so I don't know what you could call the sounds I was making ..... I've since found out that she is afraid of birds anyways .

Hi Else .... she is kind of different looking from the average fox ... more goofy looking than the red and cross fox colors ....the little black mask makes her unusual looking , but it gives her a lot of character .
