Default Sailing into the sunset

Photographers Comments
Taken on a sunset dinner cruise - the yacht sailing by was a bonus

Hi Pat, good capture but i think it might benefit from a crop to portrait to cut out the empty space on either side and it needs straighteneing (making me feel queasy LOL) will show you what i mean if that's OK?? (as you've got ASK ME FIRST)...

The yacht really makes this image, it would not have worked otherwise. As Steve has already said the horizon is not level, this is easily rectified (too many after dinner drinks I think).

Thanx for comments guys.
I can see what you mean about the horizon Steve..... would be very happy for you to show me how it would look. I have only used Photoshop on a short course I did a while ago but am thinking about buying Elements now I've joined this site.
Please feel free to enhance photo as much as you like............ all suggestions gratefully received.
Barry, I think you're right the Mai Tai's didn't help LOL

This is how i saw it looking....

Just cropped to original size but ticked the 2 little arrows to make it crop in portrait, went to one of the corners and rotated it so the bottom of the box was in line with the sea, cropped so it conformed roughly to the rule of thirds,1/3rd sea 2/3rds sky.
Tried the boat on an intersection but looked to conformist so just left the 3rds composition....

No problem....

Go out,get yourself Elements, and start playing!!! go on you know you want to!!!

When i started off with my panasonic FZ30 i always said "i'm not playing about with the photo's NO WAY it's just not right!!!"

Then you have a little play, then another ,then another, then that's it!!!! your hooked!!!

It's amazing what you can do,what you can learn, how it makes you think & develope, and generally improves your photography, and all from playing at something you really enjoy (what a result)....
