Hi Dorinda , I like the lines leading in from the corners but the wide angl lens has distorted the buildings making them lean. A little adjustment using the transform tool in Photoshop would help. Art

Hi Dorinda, as Art has said nice lines in this image. What version of Photoshop are you using, we can then tell you how to distort the image yourself to get the buildings upright.

It's not distorted. The horizon wasn't straight. You said edits could be done, so I corrected it in attachment. Hope you don't mind. I like the shot but felt it would be lot better if you had held the camera lower down to get the full reflection of the building - or was there something in the way? An ND grad filter on the sky would have stopped some of the glare on the building, or a polarising filter if you were at 90deg from the sun?

I have to make a comment to Rob. Thank you I just learned something to check for. The edit I did still didn’t look quite right to me. Art

This often throws me on a shot like this. The strong diagonal lines can often mislead you when taking such a shot. I find it best to look at the scene first without the camera and fix upon something that I know is level. In this example the arch over the water is obviously meant to be a level horizon. If you then look at the focus sensor lights in your viewfinder (I have nine in the 30D)you can line up the top of the building with the middle row of sensors, or the top/bottom row if you need a different composition. That should give you a perfectly level shot.
