I'm really pleased yo u posted this as I was wondering how it was going with the cats!
I love the way the pink bowl highlights the pink tongue....good composition and lighting too!

I'm rather pleased to see that you are getting some nice sharp images.
So maybe the belly shots are a good way to go.
The comps not quite right tho, the fur on the other side of the head plus the bowl doesn't seem to work with the cat's head all that well, especially the bowl. But I feel that this is just a run up for something still to come...yes?
But nice shooting Fay.

i have 2 cats of my own and that's more than plenty. These are cats that were abandoned by some 'animal lover' (why else would one have animals). These pets have not been neutered and they are all left to be someone else's problem. **^%**$. I will be taking them to the Animal Protection (over 2 hrs. away)...probably, one at a time....Am I happy?...NOT
Josesph, thanks for the critique..the composition is not balanced; too heavy on the left. I'm doing my cat pictures for my own memory documentation of this nerve wracking task. As they tame, of course I get attached and I see how they are attached to each other.
Oh Joseph,,just went back and see what you mean about the hair...lol...now that's one hairy eyeball!!!!

Beautiful cat Fay... sounds like your doing great work..
I would of liked to see a tighter crop to emphasise the head and eye.

hi Bev, I see what you mean....I still can't get over that hairy eyeball. not sure that I could afford the pixels..did a fairly big crop. I was shooting back in under the deck. It's encouraging for me, for I see changes of trust every day. This was shot 2 days ago and then today, she consented to come up on the deck to feed, while I was there. I'm hoping that some day there will be a big break in the dam and they will all be fighting for the first pet. I now have 3 coming for the pets and the 4th on the verge...easier when it's not winter.

Hi Bev...usually, I do mean, brutal crops. With her looking straight to the right, I felt I should leave some space for her to look into. I also was wanting to show her in her environment, so that we could see that she is not a city 'foo-foo' cat, living in the lap of luxury but, rather that even though she has a pretty pink saucer to lap out of, her other conditions are rather ragged and meagre...Oh, I see that I already replied to you..well,!..this is just a further explanation.

Thanks Fay for the explanation, she is a lucky cat in one way...she has you, and i can understand why you left the crop like it is.
