Default Llyn Hywel - Snowdonia

First post .... just trying things out.

I was up in Snowdonia (North Wales, UK) last week for a bit R&R and the current Mrs Dave was dragging me up and down all these serious walks n& stuff (understand ..... there is something of the gazelle about her whereas I'm more of the cart horse type ). This one almost killed me. The shallow rainwater collection lake that is Llyn Hywel lies in a bowl between the peaks of Rhinog Fach and Y Lethr in the Rhinogs (sometimes known as the Harlech Dome) in the southern part of the Snowdonia National Park.

Q .... is there a slight slope or are my eyes fooled by the lay of the land?

Dave (well here goes, press 'submit' and stand well back)

Edit .... ah-ha, forgot about the 5-post rule. I can see the image can anyone else?

Hi Dave, yes we can see the image. I like your composition with a nice foreground and the strong build up of clouds in the distance , I can see what you mean by the 'slight slope ' but i'm sure that it is just a illusion.

Thanks Barry for that & your comment. I was being fooled by the lack of a thumbnail next to the thread title but I now understand this has something to do with it being best to upload to the gallery area first then link through from there where there are more options to be chosen. I'll try that route next time.

Dave
