Another hummingbird flight attempt.

OK! Now I am really jealous! LOL I can just about manage photographing birds stood on a rock or log (even then they not fully in focus!)

Hi Mary great catch

Same as Mark, just about catch one sitting still on the grass or in a tree never mind like this. Mind you dont get many humming birds in west bromwich!!!

Thanks folks for your encouraging comments and yes it is very rewarding to finally get a somewhat decent shot after making a lot of attempts. The males are territorial little things and if they show up at the feeder at the same time there is some sparring going on- now wouldn't that be a shot- two of them -both in focus and in action. Dream on, but may give it a try. Nonetheless they are engaging fellows to watch and am enjoying them immensely. Mary

Wow! Mary these are'nt easy to photograph at the best of times, being so tiny and like little missiles, but you have done it!! absolute corker!
