Still not sure on the focus of the near wing

Well done TRevor as catching any bird in flight isnt easy.
I think if you use levels here and bring our the highlights and lighten the overall image this will help as it looks underexposed, as for the wing blur, looking at the ISO setting i would of had this up to perhaps 200/400 (depending on weather/light conditions at the time),i usually use f5/5.6 for flight shots as this gives a good overall DOF and gives a little more scope on the SSpeed, but motion blur is a personal liking, some like motion blur on birds wings, some like the whole image clear and sharp so im not going to crit on this, but as i said any bird flight shots take time and paractise and what your getting is good, so keep at it!
