HDR: North Yorkshire Castle Bolton
Photographers Comments
Took three exposures in quick succession for this one with auto bracketing turned on. Ran final images through HDR, then in Photoshop did some minor cropping

Hi Mark, I can't really comment on the HDR aspect as it's not something i've tried myself, so you'll have to settle for my comments on the overall shot lol
I love the drama in the stormy sky and the composition from the fence gate in the FG through to the Castle and then off to the hills in the BG. I'm just wondering if a slightly tighter crop down the left side to remove the building next to the castle would work better?
Lovely capture, Loopy

Another nice HDR Spooks...
would be tempted to crop the right hand side to get rid of the 2 greenish stones bottom right and would straighten up the castle it looks a bit wonky to me.......

Hi Mark .. which program did you use to create this image. Was it CS3 HDR or did you use one of the other programs. I find this really good it's not over done .. which I find that some people that do them .. they are what I called over cooked ..lol..
Cheers
Else

A really big thank you for the helpful crits on this image, I really appreciate them.
Ok, I've looked at the comments and looked at the image and agree with you all that I tighter crop was needed. I've also straightened the castle itself, and on the whole, the image looks a lot better.
Else, I used Dynamic Photo to create this image, and instead of using one single raw file I took three exposures, one normal, the second +2ev and the third -2ev. THen combined them to HDR.
Below are the final image, plus a BW one for comparison.
