Hi Andy, that blue sky is a fantastic colour. I would clone out the dark area (top left) and the wing tip. Try the curves tool in PSP to see if you can fetch out the dark areas at the bottom.
It would be interesting to see this in B&W with lots of contrast. Alex

I framed the shot so the wing tip would be in it and selectively darkened the corners to give the feel like your are near the top of the atmosphere with the dark areas giving the idea of near space height...having said that, it does look a tad darker on here than at home
