Default Swan on freezing canal

Photographers Comments
Taken early morning at a small part of the canal which had not frozen over.

very nice!!!!...you must be delighted with this one!...exposure is great...getting that light in the eye, sure makes it. She almost looks a tad annoyed at you for shooting up her pretty petticoats. One suggestion,..there is a white spot in the upper/right hand corner..think it should be removed.

Good point Fay, thank you - I will remove the white bit - mucky filter I think! I took this at 8am yesterday morning as self and youngest boy took the dog out before school.

Had pics still on camera today, so thought I'd do a sneaky upload whilst at work - so naughty!

Very sharp and great detail in the feathers. The dark blue makes the white feathers stand out nicely. Good job.

Beautifully caught, the exposure is great and the pose is terrific showing the swans face..well worth the early morning trip!

Thanks for feedback Carol and Bev. Sorry Genese, didn't get the full reflection shot. Maybe I need to take my walks without small boy and border collie beast - I may pay more attention. Thanks for the tip though, it'll remind me to look out for these opportunities in future.
