Photographers Comments
I nearly had an embarrassing accident earlier tonight, when my son said "look up mum" and this was lurking on the wall above my computer!!!!Shrrrrreeeeeeeeeeekkkkk!!!!

So apologies if it looks a bit unsteady, I was so nervous I just switched my camera to auto and held it as close as I dared and shot.......if you could see how fast these things move you would too LOL.

Did you take a pic after you squashed it against the said wall with the sole of your slipper?

When my daughter was home, we had a pact...I would deal with the spiders if she would deal with the mice....not that I really mind either...we were just good at what we did. The lady who lived in this trailer before I did, swore on a bible, in court, that this trailer is seething with spiders as big as her hand. The judge bought it but I didn't....still waiting to see such an event...(hope it doesn't come while I am sleeping)but if it comes Diane, I'll show you mine. If you spot another one put your hand up to it and measure

I have visions of Loopy Lorraine "legging it down the street"...having seen how fast this thing moved it would have caught you Lorraine lol!!

Phil and Else, even the thought of squashing it makes me feel ill, they are huge! if I did I'd still be cleaning up the mess now My son chased it out the window with a broom....the sound effects from me hiding behind the kitchen counter were classic!

As for poisonous, I found this on the net...
"These spiders were previously listed as potentially dangerous. After tests where they were induced into biting guinea-pigs it was established that although the guinea-pigs had died within 3 minutes, it had been from shock and not the effects of any venom." LOL would you take a chance??? I'd also die from shock!!!

Hi Bev, here's the colour version......not that brilliant as my wall is more yellow than cream, probably washed out by the flash, enjoy.

Fay are you mad.......lol (you don't have to answer that by the way)
That thing WAS as BIG as my hand and I wasn't going to get up close and personnal with it......SHUDDER....!!! Left that chore up to my eldest who did,nt seem at all worried that it might have dropped down on his head.

Bev I'm glad you like the original....perhaps I can send you a real one in a box, do you think it would survive? LOL
