Caught this just before take off

Hi Trevor,
excellent capture here. Great detail in the feathers and catchlight in the eye. Good colour and DoF. Maybe a tad off balance with the crop being so close to the top for my taste, I perhaps would have liked to have seen more space above rather than below the subject, but that is only my preference.

These are one of my favourite little birds. I also know how notorious they are for not keeping still and the flock will normally just zoom off when you get anywhere near them. So its a good capture mate. Love the DOF and the colour is punchy but not OTT. Well done Trev.

Thanks for all your comments, I agree Phil about the crop shoud have been more top and less bottom
