Nice and sharp with good lighting and soft focus on background, with a nicely positioned branch for the bird. Although I think I would have cropped a bit off the left hand side and given a bit more to the right so that the bird is looking into something if you see what I mean.

Good portrait of the male chaffinch, coulour and detail are great, but agree with Barry about the crop.

I can see where you were coming from re: the crop...you have the tail comfortably "in"...but due to the point of focus being mostly on the birds face, I agree there needs be just abit more image on right side to balance the composition. You have achieved fabulous bokeh, with pin sharp bird being well set apart from the bg.
Good job... I dare say these little ones do not stay put for too long.
