Well, the desert certainly looks alive!!...would love to be there, if it wasn't for nasties like snakes and such.

..."and such"??? are we quietly thinking scorpions?
and I thought there were only some small prickles to worry about!

Yup Ladies,
You are right. Here in Arizona, everything stings, bites or has thorns.
My hiking buddy Sam got all tangled up in a Jumping Cholla, a cactus, when you touch it, the limbs fall off and will cling to you.(Jumping you) Poor dog got spooked and ended up with several Cholla Balls on him. What a job it was to remove them. Poor guy was crying, and so was I.
Should you come to Arizona, I will lead the way and look out for the Buzzworms. Now they are mean and hungry, just waking up from hibernation.
Got to watch Sam, since Doggie Noses and Rattler Fangs don't mix.

So are you saying that all that beauty we see is just a veneer to the house of horrors....I'm not even there and now you got me crying.

around here we only see the beauty.
If there is horror, well, we deal with it too. Snakes are out there, but we don't mess around with them, so are scorpions and spiders.
You put up with Grizzlies, and hey Nicki, what about the Guppies in your waters? (some people call em SHARKS)
