This is a great pic bev...
Went to muncaster castle in the lakes last year and saw an owl display,but we got there a bit late and had loads of people in front of me so they all came out a bit naff even after cropping.

Excellent eye contact which is truly compelling, especially for a bird shot.
Clarity of colours and sharpness are all achieved beautifully, aswell with good control of your dof. My small nit pick would be for the format to be not quite square. The eyes are very centralised in the frame, and of personal taste, I would rather see a touch more shoulder.
