Shot this yellow mongoose at the south lakeland animal park last year, Got a tutorial off the net and came up with this.

Hi Jason,
A good bit of OOB work here. You may like to just tone down the obvious edging around the scruff of the neck against the white background. For me, I like to use a small soft eraser brush set at around 8 - 12% and blend it in gradually until the desired effect is achieved. This works especially well against white.

Hiya Phil, glad you like the shot, would I have to restart it all over again? or could I place a white background in layers and do it that way?

Just knock it back gradually from the original here mate. Because it is already on a white background that is a bonus. can I show you a variation from your image here?

Hi Jason,
remember I have worked off your image here, so you should easily be able to achieve better results on a high res image. All I needed to do was cut back the dark outline with a small soft erasure brush set at 12%. This was done in gradual stages until the desired effect was achieved. As you can see it has taken out that obvious tell tale cut and paste line and given it a more natural feel.

Cheers Phil, that looks mcuh better, no harsh dark lines around the edge of the back of the neck any more.
I will have a bash at that right now.
