Default Where Sheep Once Roamed

Photographers Comments
This area of the Western Cape was traditionally a sheep farming one.....now the landscape is populated with 1000s of ostriches, obviously its a more viable product for the farmers now.

Yikes guy's how rude of me....all your comments passed me by, your post's didn't pop up in my mail box. Thanks for all of them!

Ostrich meat is really nice but has to be cooked by someone who really knows how.....I know that cos I tried to cook a fillet once and it turned out as tough as an ostrich skin handbag lol

Tedz.....the only reason you wouldn't date an ostrich is because they pack a mean kick....Oh and of course they can run faster than you too LOL

Ostrich meat is becoming quite popular over here, although i have'nt tried it myself, and im a bit put off by the thought of having to stuff an Ostrich how many boxes of paxo would that take

Great shot Di,it looks a vast area and your DOF has covered this well, i love the look of those little ones.
