Default Stellar Jay

Photographers Comments
These birds are a little wary but a kick to watch- very personable characters.

Hi Mary he looks a proud chap... Have you put a filter on this or is it a little noisy?? Good framing but a touch soft..

Thanks Nik for your comments- I am having trouble getting a sharp image of these fellows- they come in early in the morning and combibned with the very gray winter weather and their dark coloing I am struggling. Did try to salvage this one with some photoshop work but agree that it wasn't too sucessfull. Guess I will just need to be patient and see if I can get them in some good light.

i sharpened it adjusted the contrast and exposure a little and then used an image clean filter to remove some of the noise. This was a low quality copy of your image and you should have much more effect on your image than the one I used... But I hope it gives you an idea...

aside from the noise, Mary...I really like this. I like the soft light, making for interesting drama..but iffy for quality..removing the noise gives a lift. interesting pose..has a slight discombobulated look, like, "Where am I?" Got some really nice light in the eye. Love that dash of paint on his forehead!!!
