Thanks folks for your comments. This is a "park" pigeon- there is a large park next to the river with a duck pond. Lots of people stop to feed the birds- mostly very obnoxious, obese ducks , geese and seagulls and the pigeons sort of hang around the edges hoping to get the left overs. It does sort of have an attitude.
