B&W is great when done well and this one is done very well... My only neg crit and its just my opinion is the sky could be a little brighter not to much though as don't want to distract from the wonderful driftwood in center frame...

Hi Rex, I like this subject and it has worked well in monochrome, with the sun lighting up the driftwood. Although I think that I would have tried to put the driftwood to the left slightly so that it is not in the middle of the image and made use of those nice shadows toward the right from the driftwood.

hanks Nik and Barry,
Nik, I did try a brighter sky and I thought it took too much from the centre. Also remember, different monitors see B&W differently. My home screen, where I do my photo work is different from the one I use at work where they have a fast internet connection.
Barry, I hear what you are saying, unfortunately, there is a tree out of the frame to the right which I had to crop out. It looked OK when I took the pic, but not when I processed it.
Thank you both for commenting.
