I got 2 shots of the full moon this morning before it saw me and hid behind the clouds, It was quite windy and my tripod was rocking for fun so it wont be as sharp as i liked, ill have another go next time.
This is my 1st shot ever of the moon, I used my new 70-300 sigma lens.

Hi Jason.
Nice pic mate!
I think you would have gotten away with a slightly tighter crop to eliminate some of the black and enhance that heavenly body.
All my moon shots have been pants though...so take with a pinch of salt bud

I like it, looks reasonably sharp to me, and I like the way that you have not put it right in the middle of the picture.

Hi Jason, good one .. wish I could do this .. looked for the moon the other night .. but I was a little too late to get a good view of it. ... too many large trees get in the way as it moves around ..
Cheers
Else

1st ever shot! Wow.
I have taken lots and most don't come close to this.
A couple of hints for you that I realised, try spot metering, not that there is anything wrong with the exposure here, just I got good results faster and tele lens are usually softer at the long end so try 250mm and 270mm and see if you get any difference in sharpness, again nothing wrong with that either just something to try.
