I got to work just about on time today, had to park close to the building to get clocked in on time. I did the banking and came outside to move the car into staff parking.
While I was sat in the car, the sky started to catch fire, so instead of rushing back into work I grabbed the camera...
This is taken at the lowest possible size and quality, I knew I may be uploading the result to the forum, I hope it resizes ok, I do have copies in RAW but as there is no image software here this is straight out of the camera.
Please excuse the tiny bit of street lamp, I was trying to get as much in the frame as possible with nothing man-made in the way, not easy in a carpark .

Hi Merv,
for an image straight out of the camera this is very commendable. Even the little edge of street lamp is forgivable. I bet you can't wait to get home and get your software teeth into this lil' beauty. Good DoF, (a little sharpening won't hurt) great colours and sillhouettes. In all, the prettiest car park I have seen in ages.
Regards....Phil

PS. I hope you don't mind but I had to give it a go. Slight alteration in curves, saturation and cloned out the street lamp with a final adjustment in sharpening.

Thanks for that Phil, I'm chuffed you took the time to play with one of my photo's, of course I don't mind, anyway it gives me an idea what it may look like before I get home.
I always turn off the in camera sharpening because an image should only be sharpened once so I'm also glad you picked up that it hadn't been done yet.
btw, your sig always makes me smile.

Wow .. Merv .. what a sunrise to have captured ... I can see why you would be taking photos instead of slugging it out .. lol ... That special colour and light is only for such a short time .. and you have to take advantage of that special time. Thanks for sharing ..
Cheers
Else

Cheers Else, you are so right, I was only out there for about 10 minutes and the change in the photo's across that whole time is very dramatic.
This only seems to happen when I'm at work, whenever I get up early on a day off all I see is grey lol.

Merv this is lovely buddy. I love the colour the comp the trees. Really moody shot.
The tree's looked a little soft and Phils edit has done your image justice.

This is really lovely mate.

Well I wouldn't dare take my camera with me to work, I might be tempted to take a few shots LOL, well I am a train driver ..It wouldn't give the passengers much confidence knowing I was grabbing a few shots at 75 mph of some nice views LOL.
What is your job?
