This is the largest of todays catch. It is called a Sheepshead. Weird name. Everything the Heron didnt eat was released to live a long and happy life.

Obviously a Newcastle fan and what a pair of lips !
Like Maureen, fishing isn’t my thing either and it gets even more confusing when I consider the catch and release policy. Still all the time spent waiting for a sunrise / set must be confusing too.

Good shot John, except I was straining my neck to look at it as it was hanging lol Probably best that you turned it so we can see it in all it's glory!

I really like this..good focus...lovely colors (love greys and blacks)...beautiful detailing ..fins and those 'come hither' lips...they do look like sheep horns. They say that none of us are perfect in every way and that we should play up our strong attributes...in this case, it would be the fins...look at those fins

Hate to tell ya guys, but what you think is the lips, is actually the "worm" on the hook.
Nice capture though, good and clear, wonderful colours.

I did have a good chuckle about this. Yes I would say it was the bait too. If these were its lips it would be called the Mick jagger fish!
Nice capture. Not easy to get a nice sharp pic when the subject matter is swinging on the end of a line, so hats off to you for that!

Newcastle fan, zerbra crossing, on first glance I thought of everton mints. Love the colours but I would agree with Diane, turning the image the right way would improve.

Thank you all for the comments. The pic was taken with the fish vertial, however, it seemed to present itself better when rotated. Fishing, like photogaphy is something which although dissabled, I am still physically able to do. This spot is less than 2 minutes from the house. However, I never thought I'd actually spend money for worms....
