Hi Pablo, this one works a lot better for me, it feels more balanced even though there are 2 boats. I have a book that explains all about composition and is nothing about cameras and i learnt such a lot from it. here is my review

The Photographers Eye: Composition & Design For Better Digital Photos - Photographic Reviews

Here it is at Amazon i spent £17 on it its now less than £11 and that is a steal for a book of this quality

The Photographer's Eye: Composition and Design for Better Digital Photos: Amazon.co.uk: Michael Freeman: Books

I like this lots - IMOP its a nice simple but inviting image - great composition and says the mood of the weather to me.

Only ickle crit would be to remove the whitish stone on the lower left section of ROT - for some reason it keeps catching my eye and taking me away from the photo.

Mr Denny - am going to have a looksee at the book you are on about....

I think it is lovely with great colours and simplicity. My criticism is mainly of the position of the horizon which I think is too central. I would have to suggest a crop taking out some of the sky and the trees to the right. My version is as follows.

Thanks Spooks - What does IMOP mean...also ROT-= I am sure they are simple but hey , if you don't ask....

Thanks Russell - Like what you have done and can see how this improves it - the trees on the right hand side are a bit too dark.

Thanks for the advice everyone

Pablo
