maybe a little sharpening would work as it seems a little soft, love the reflection that you mentioned though.

Hmmm, the eye and the fur just above it look very sharp to me. The depth of field for 300mm at f/5.6 and a range of 5-6ft works out at around 4mm, so it's about as much as you could expect I think.
I agree that an unsharp mask would give it more aparent sharpness though.

Merv, might interest you, I posted the comment about sharpness based on loading the photo into photosho[p and just played with subtel smart sharpening on a layer, it improved it IMO. Im not knocking the photo though.
