The Gentle One

A visit to the Saihati Camel Farm near Yuma produced some interesting photos. This was a gentle creature that took the tidbits of food that we offered (sold by the farm) very gently. Another one was very grabby and quickly grabbed my whole hand before I was able to pull it away. He didnt hurt me, but scared the *&#@* out of me anyway...

I was once kissed by a Camel as I slept ... and it too was so gentle ... it was only the evil smelling breath that awoke Me. I saw a vision similar to Your Photo here, as the Camel had put it's Head through the Car Window ... this was in the Aussie Outback.
Excuse My ramble, but this Portrait triggered an old memory of One I did not love

This pic brings back a memory here also. While driving through a safari farm in Texas Bootie (Carol) and I came upon a camel. My window was open and he stuck his head in and grabbed an entire bag of treats from under Carol's legs on the passenger side. He and I both had hold of the bag, which broke, and we were finding safari treats under the seats, etc for two weeks. Anyway, this is a very good pic and I enjoyed the memory....

Glad to bring back those camel memories. I didn't smell any bad breath and an added bonus, they didn't spit. I have also heard that humpback whales have terrible stinky breath, but I didn't have time to smell any breath of the one that swam under our boat in Alaska last summer. See haybales picture...
