Nice compostition Julie. The only thing that stands out a little too much for me on this is the flash. Do you take this image without the flash as well?

There is just so much to observe with photography and so much to learn which is the best part of it all for me.

You really have an excellent eye.

Hi Julie

I really like the composition of this, and the soft tones of the far shore/background. I do have to agree about the flash tho, it tends to draw you to the right side of the pic away from the beautiful softness, otherwise i love it.

Lorraine :-)

I like this too. I try to avoid using flash on landscapes, and shoot in Apature Priority mode. Just means I have to lug a tripod around with me tho.... LOL

I like the position of the boat, ground and tree. These take up a large area of the photograph but still there is plenty of that great background.
A good, shot well done!
Phil.

Nice composition with the boat, But if you have to use flash try and fire it remotely from the side, this would have really improved your image.
