this butterflie is rather uncommon but essex seems to have the biggest breeding population we have huge numbers were i live a very beautifull butterfly

Beautiful and so very clear! I was playing with the new zoom feature and it made quite a scary beast.

Beautiful Dave!great capture.
we have got loads of the marbled whites over the meadows we walk the dogs but very little else this year, last year it was mostly common blues, strange how the years change.

cheers bev there seems to be a lot of marble whites. we have the same were have the common blues gone strange
