This spider blends in with the surroundings, and you have managed to capture him against a darker background which makes him stand out. Good DOF with the soft foreground.

This little spider definately has its comfort zone figured out. If I get even a couple of inches too close back into its tunnel it goes. I back up and wait a few minutes and the spider will venture out again. The really cute spiders are the jumping spiders and I cannot find one yet- know they are around but to this point they are being somewhat bashful.
